Membership
Individuals in New Hampshire and elsewhere who are actively engaged in the field of arboriculture and who meet the certification requirements are invited to become Certified Members of the New Hampshire Arborists Association. Non-certified individuals in allied fields, including educators, students, scientists, and others interested in shade and ornamental trees may become Associate Members. The Board of Directors may also recommend Honorary Lifetime Membership for individuals who have distinguished themselves in the field of arboriculture.
Certified Members
New Hampshire Arborist Association (NHAA) Certified Arborists are knowledgeable about standards and best practices in tree care and up-to-date on the latest in arboricultural technology. To become a NHAA Certified Arborist, an experienced tree care professional must provide documentation of work experience in professional arboriculture and pass a comprehensive written examination developed by a committee of experts in industry, research, and government.
NHAA Certified Arborists are also encouraged to pursue continuing education along with membership and certification in other professional arborist organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA).

Honorary Members
Honorary Lifetime Membership in the New Hampshire Arborists Association may be conferred on individuals who have made exemplary and outstanding contributions to further the profession and science of arboriculture and the New Hampshire Arborists Association by a vote of the Board of Directors and the New Hampshire Arborists Association membership.
